TripadvisorWe’ve done a few virtual rides / guides in the past but this one was really good! Even more so knowing that all the volcano footage was real, shot by drones. We just wished it was longer !

The motion in the chairs makes it fun, and the pictures of the volcano are truly awe-inspiring! No volcanoes were erupting when we were there, so it was a nice way to really understand what it was like a few years ago in the area. Very cool!

It’s a fairly new attraction which we hadn’t heard anything about. Previous reviews say it’s short (it’s about 10 mins) but the price reflects this. We really enjoyed Volcano Express and found it very entertaining and informative. A couple of days previously we’d been to the other (more well known) 4D experience in Reykjavik which we’d enjoyed but did comment after that we were surprised we hadn’t flown over erupting volcanos. Volcano Express filled that gap (and for about half of the price of the other attraction!).

Don’t get me wrong, it won’t fill your day, given we were in and out in less than 20mins however, it’s a great infill for a Reykjavík based day. Top notch new 4D experience which was well worth the money (it was less than half the price of the better known FlyOver) and we both preferred it to FlyOver, especially as it was all about the main thing Iceland is famous for…..Volcanoes.

Read on Google ↗TripadvisorCan’t miss it with the signs, but in the Harpa concert hall you take the two escalators down and will already see the very helpful and friendly staff. The building ofc also has toilets. It starts with a short explanation video, afterwards you go in the room and take a seat. The experience itself is short (less than 10min) - which is good for people with motion sickness. It feels intense but in the best way possible. You sit in moving seats and get wind and a little bit of heat. Very beautiful scenery shots and a little bit of knowledge, as well as captivating telling and music from an orchestra that was recorded in the hall. For all people easily scared: it’s doable. There is just one mini „seats drop“ scare, but only for not even half a second and very tiny. I enjoyed it.
