A motion ride. Pretty well done with air blowers to give a bit of warmth. Not like a fly over, but rumbling like an earthquake sort of ride to get the impression of the ground and magma roaring beneath you. It passed time and although short, was a fun diversion, was informative and afforded big screen views of local volcanic eruptions.

Went to this experience after a recommendation from a friend whilst visiting Reykjavík, Iceland. After a short hop on a shuttle bus from the cruise terminal it’s only a 5 minute walk. It was a truly amazing experience and one that I would definitely recommend. It only lasts about 15 minutes and not expensive but it was spectacular.

Despite the short duration and relatively high price (which is common in Iceland), we had a memorable experience. The scenery we saw was breathtakingly beautiful and I was very pleasantly surprised by the magic of the place. This is an activity I highly recommend if you want to take full eyes.

🌋 Impromptu decision to watch Volcano Express after our random city stroll. Good choice to ditch the car to explore the city. Good choice to pay to watch in spite of the steep price. I'm satisfied to start our road trip having had some context and understanding of Iceland. To have a better appreciation of the land and people. Kudos to the team putting this tgt - drone shots of Iceland and it's erupting volcano, engaging music by the symphonic band, and thrilling and experiential 4D motion - all packed in a 10 mins experience that adequately fits our attention span and schedule for a grocery run after.

We really enjoyed this “4D” experience. The theatre only seats about 20 and shows run several times an hour. We were visiting on a cruise and despite the large numbers of people in the city, we only had to wait 10-15 minutes.
The show itself is only 9 minutes long and we’d have liked more, but with HD filming, simulator seats and even hot “volcanic” air blown in your face, it’s a very memorable attraction.
This was well worth the time and price of admission! I gasped when we started to 'fly" over Iceland and then down into the volcano. It felt so lifelike!
